These are simple notifications you can set up so that when a news story breaks on a given topic, you get a notification in your inbox.<\/p>\n<p>Google alerts are the best part of 20 years old, but they remain useful for writers who may have to come up with regular content on an industry-specific subject. About a year ago, however, Google introduced a more immersive feature called <a href=\"https:\/\/staykeen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Keen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s good fun to have a play around on this. Where it differs from basic alerts is that it\u2019s mixed-media, so you\u2019ll see blogs, how-to guides and videos crop up on whatever subject you ask for.
