You might have heard about <!--more-->some countries, most notably Australia, challenging these companies\u2019 roles as publishers and arguing they should pay much more for the blogs, videos and other content they host.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Facebook did something that gave just a glimpse of hope for writers and other content producers hoping to make money online when it released its new feature, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bulletin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bulletin<\/a>. This smart-looking platform allows users to subscribe to creators\u2019 accounts and even pay for premium content.<\/p>\n<p>Alas, Facebook has not really made an open shop of this.
